"And everything looks worse in Black and White." -Paul Simon Kodachrome

Kodachrome in General
- Kodachrome was developed in 1935 as a 16mm movie format and later in the 8mm movie format. It was pretty much the highest quality reversal stock and had the best and longest lasting color dyes of any integrated color tri-pack film up until the 1980s. Its herritage and long standing record make it an amazing filmstock. It is for this reason that the discontinuation of Kodachrome 40 Super 8 film is of particular sadness. Not to mention the fact that many of the Super-8 cameras produced can not meter the "replacement" Ektachrome 64. Ergo, I would be much happier if it still existed.
