Does anyone know what "s" "r" and "RL" mean on the side of the camera? I gather that S is still photos, R is recording, and RL is ????

Hi,

I would guess:

  • S = Single frame
  • R = Run
  • RL = Run locked = camera keeps on running without having any trigger pressed until the cartridge is empty or until you stop it

But that's just a guess, sorry. (BTW: It looks like this "guess" is correct according to the manual for GAF 415 XL (nearly the same camera as the GAF 415 XLM, even though it lacks the macro: User Manual for GAF XL 415 or GAF 415 XL User manual English as PDF.)
